FridgeButler is a local-first iPhone app for tracking fridge items, monitoring freshness, and showing on-device recipe and restock suggestions.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the current App Store version of FridgeButler. The current version is designed for personal use and does not require account registration or login for the core experience.
2. Information Processed on Device
- Ingredient names, categories, quantities, dates added, and expiry dates that you enter into the app.
- Local notification schedule details needed to create expiry reminders when you enable them.
- Derived freshness scores, recipe suggestions, and shopping suggestions generated from your local inventory.
3. How the App Uses This Information
- To let you create, view, and manage a personal refrigerator inventory.
- To estimate freshness and highlight items that may expire soon.
- To generate recipe ideas and restock suggestions from items already saved on your device.
- To schedule optional local expiry alerts if you grant notification permission.
4. Data Collection and Sharing
The current version of FridgeButler does not send your inventory data to developer-operated servers for the core experience.
The current version is not designed to require user accounts, does not include third-party advertising SDKs, and does not include third-party analytics SDKs for the main workflow.
5. Permissions
- Notifications: used only if you choose to enable local expiry reminders.
The current version does not require account login for the main workflow. If a future version adds new permissions, the app experience and this policy will be updated before release.
6. Storage
The current version stores app data locally on your device using the app's local data store so the core experience can work offline.
7. Your Choices
- You may choose not to grant notification permission.
- You can remove locally stored app data by deleting the app from your device.
8. Changes to This Policy
If a future version adds cloud sync, remote processing, analytics, account features, or other server-based behavior, this policy will be updated before those changes are released.
